This one-way section of San Francisco's Lombard Street on Russian Hill is widely known as the "Crookedest Street in the World." There are eight sharp turns in this one steep section of road. Tourists from all over the world flock to drive their rental cars slowly down this famous bit of urban engineering. Our group parked near the top and walked down to enjoy this view, skipping the painfully slow drive.
I feel for the folks who live on this section of the street - the constant stream of visitors must be miserable, not to mention trying to get into and out of your garage!
Still, it's definitely a unique sight!
